Charitable Contributions
In 2006, we were able to help raise over $800 for The Valley Sheltered Workshop of Batavia, IL. Last year we were able to increase our donation to $1,000. They give physically and mentally handicapped adults a place to go to work every day, and by doing so they become a vital part of the community and have a sense of accomplishment. This wouldn't be possible without the generosity of our participants and spectators.
Our goal is to raise over $3500 in 2008 for the Northern Illinois Food Bank The Northern Illinois Food Bank, a member of America’s Second Harvest – The Nation’s Food Bank Network, acquires donated food from retailers, manufacturers, corporations, and community resources and distributes it through its network of over 520 food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, and other nonprofit food assistance sites to help the 287,303 people living in poverty in 13 northern Illinois counties including Boone, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson, Will, and Winnebago Counties.
